Governor Scott Walker released the following statement today in recognition of National Adoption Day:
National Adoption Day is an opportunity to highlight the importance of adoption in our country and our state. When Wisconsin families make the decision to open their hearts and their homes to children awaiting adoption, their lives are forever changed. Today, and every day, we celebrate that decision. We will continue working together with public, private, and tribal agencies to connect these children with loving adoptive families.
